Control of Gabat

On 15.3. 2015. Clashes occurred in South Sudan’s Upper Nile state on Sunday between pro-government forces and its armed opposition groups, with the latter claiming to have regained control of Gabat, a town east of Manyo County.

Pigi attack

On 13.3.2015. A group of armed men alleged to be SPLA IO attacked and burnt down houses in Wunkir village, Alale Payam in Pigi County in the government controlled area. Casualties are not known at this stage.

SPLA-IO attacked SPLA

On 8,3.2015. SPLA forces in pursuit of retreating SPLA IO in the North of Wadekona reportedly encountered the SPLA IO in Gabat village near the border of White Nile State, Sudan. The armed skirmish lasted for about (45) minutes. No casualties reported. No further information received.
