Community Empowerment for Progress Organization (CEPO) organizes dialogues between communities and representatives of the security sector and during these dialogues, the participants (communities, security sector and civil society) jointly formulate priorities to address certain challenges. Through these dialogues, women are given the space to express themselves. CEPO is involved in the national security policy development and is given an opportunity to organize community dialogues that normally bring members of the organized forces and the community.
CEPO implements projects on women empowerment in economic and political participation as well as security for women and girls. It has been involved in projects relating to promoting effective women participation and leadership at county governance, empowering rural women financially and making women work for stability and non violent approach in addressing communal misunderstanding.
