On 19.4.2017. Akobo. An SPLA-iO spokesperson admitted that the SPLA-IO had lost control of Waat town following armed clashes with government soldiers on 15 April. Apparently, the fighting was ongoing as of 19 April, although at a lower level. Waat has been under the control of Lou Nuer rebels since armed conflict broke out in the country in December 2013.
