Man and 4 lactating mothers went missing when they left for their farms in Yei

Description:

On 18.6.2017. Yei. A man and four lactating mothers left their homes in Tarawa area in Yei County earlier this week to harvest cassava from their own farms in Sopiri and Kololo villages and no one has seen them or knows their whereabouts since then. Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Friday, several family members of the missing five civilians called on the state government to intervene and search for their missing relatives. Joseph Mabe, a man whose wife went missing, said: “My wife told me that they were going to the garden to bring food items for the family. There were four in number together with another man. I am now taking care of a breastfeeding baby girl and she could not sleep.”Moro Charles, another local resident, appealed to the government to bring back his missing wife. “I have twin kids, we could not sleep, I am calling on the government to help us because we don’t know the people who took them whether they have guns or not,” he said.  Meanwhile, Regina Jamba Charles, headwoman of the Tarawa residential area, said she has already summited the report to the commissioner’s office. “I have received the report on the missing four women and one man who went to bring cassava from their gardens in Spiri and kololo area. There are 13 kids left without their mothers now,” she said.
