On26.9.2017. Rumbek: In the late evening, an INGO ambulance was called out to collect a seriously ill patient from Rumbek East. On its return it through Chueichok it was shot at by an armed man. The fuel tank of the ambulance was hit. The driver didn’t stop and carried on back to his original destination with the patient. The driver wasn’t aware the fuel tank was hit until refueling the following morning. The vehicle’s second tank was full at the time which allowed him to complete the journey. It is not known why the ambulance was fired on.
