Mr Ladu Joseph Wuya is a South Sudanese national with experience in Rule of law and Human Right activism, conducting Livelihood trainings with previous experience working with Organizations like Justice and Confidential Center and South Sudan Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Commission-SSDDRC. He has participated in mainstreaming the concept of conflict transformation through livelihood for international organizations
Mr. Ladu has worked as an Enmerator carrying out surveys for the demobilized soldiers, as a Domestic observer registering confident citizens to participate in the referendum, as a Rule of Law Promoter/Human Rights Activist organizing various trainings on Human Rights and most recently as a Livelihood Project officer. He has been able to introduce an alternative livelihood to 140 people through training and monitoring on sustainable fishing practices in Gemeiza, Mangalla and Lirya Payam. He has supported the formation of a cooperative society that acts as an institution to control the marketing of the fish and give small loans to the community members in Gemeiza Payam; he has successfully helped in the procurement and distribution of 14 Bicycles, 14 Boats, 36 Boxes of Nets and 24 tents to fishing groups in Gemeiza and Mangalla payams; and he has facilitated Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) livelihood training mainly on small income generating activities and business skills for 30 young men and women in Lirya and conducted a number of basic community livelihood surveys.
Currently, Mr. Ladu is pursuing a Bachelors degree in Natural Resources, and he holds a number of Certificates in Peace Building, Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution, Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, Rule of Law Practical skills and in Justice and Customary Court Monitoring from International Rescue Committee (IRC)/(UNDP). He also holds a certificate from UNMISS in Human Rights and a Gender Based Violence certificate from CHF-International.
