On 6.12.2016. Akobo. An INGO compound was broken into by an unknown number of men at around 01:00hrs in Akobo town. The men cut through the fence to gain access, broke into all the tukuls in the compound and took most assets found in them. Upon attempting to escape, nearby community members that were awaken by noise stepped in and apprehended one of the assailants while others fled. One male national staff was slightly beaten during the robbery but did not require medical attention. Follow up reports suggest another humanitarian compound was broken into on the 4th of December and a clinic was broken into approximately 12 days prior.
