Government forces have moved out of Yambio after clashes with opposition forces

On10.11.2016. Yambio. After clashing with armed opposition in Western Equatoria state seat, Yambio. The government army with their tribal militias’ allies have moved out in retaliatory attack shot and killed two locals’ citizens’ dead. According to informants with direct contact with eyewitnesses, they identified the dead as Isaac Jacob, a youth leader at head Diocese of Yambio, Roman Catholic Church, and the other victim was identified as local Chief Kutaya, chief of Kuzee Boma. According to eye witnesses Jacob Isaac was found with his wife in their house, they were said to be packing their family belongings, however what is not clear is whether Jacob and his wife who the eye witness identified as Veronica were trying to leave the town to safety. The locals said the couple are good people and they have no link to the ongoing crisis, the locals expressed their anger, as to how the well known good hearted man (Jacob Isaac)was slaughtered by the soldiers in broad day light. His wife escaped and later returned after the soldiers have left their house only to found her husband’s lifeless body in pool of blood in their living room.
