15th of April 2016. According to reports, Police officers in Aweil town fired shots in the air in protest over unpaid salaries and rumors of a 11% pay-cut. The protest resulted the closing down of the local market andministries road for approximately on hour. The situation was said to have been resolved by the authorities.
