An elderly man was killed and eight cattle stolen in an attack by unknown gunmen in Rubkwai County of Southern Liech State on Tuesday, a local official said. The state minister of information Nyoun Joseph told Radio Tamazuj on Thursday that no one was injured in the attack. “On 27th August, at 11 pm, last Tuesday unknown gunmen attacked an area in Rubkwai County. The attackers killed 75 years old Gatluak Puot Dithuok and they stole eight of his cows. The attackers are from the eastern part of the county,” he said. Joseph said the state government has sent its condolences to the affected family saying the perpetrators will be brought to book. He noted that a security team is working to apprehend those involved in the incident.
