The Civil Society Organization Community Empowerment for Progress Organiztion said its ready for a national advocacy to strenghten civil society organization and influence the national government actors to observe peace, human rights, economy and justice.
Speaking during a consultative event on economic justice, human rights and violent conflict, the peace and governance manager Ms. Grace John the organization has enough information on human rights violations that are taking place in the country especially rape cases that need to be addressed comprehensively by the civil society organiztions and the government. Grace further stressed that at the moment the organzation will identify some institutions that deal with human rights violations, in order to come up with a petiton that would capture the attention of the goverment and bring the perpetrators of rape cases to book.
