  On 16.3.2017.Bentiu. Unknown armed men entered the PoC site and shot dead a male IDP of about 55 years old while sleeping. The reason for the killing was unknown. UNPOL responded and collected four empty cartridges from the scene of the incident.

On 10.3.2017.Rumbek. 3 rounds of small arms fire were heard about 500 m from the UNMISS Field Office. Information was received that the cause may have been shots fired by SSNPS while chasing suspected criminals.

·         On 11.3.2017.Torit.Small arms fire was heard south of the UNMISS Field Office. The circumstance behind the shooting was not known.

On 5.3.2017. Kuajok. A burst of small arms fire was heard near the eastern perimeter fence of the UNMISS compound. The reason behind the shooting was unknown.
