- On 28.12.2016. Juba. A UN military liaison officer was driving an official UN vehicle alone from Tomping to UN House. After passing NSS HQ, he noticed a South Sudanese male person in civilian clothing riding a motorcycle approach next to his vehicle. The person gestured the UN driver to stop which he did not do. The male person then lifted his shirt displaying a pistol tucked into his trousers. The UN officer produced his own pistol and showed it to the motorcycle rider who swerved and turned away. The UN driver then continued to UN House.
