A UN Agency ex-pat staff member was harassed at the departure lounge of the Juba International Airport for being in possession of US$1200. Immigration officials claimed the existence of a new law restricting people from leaving the country with more than US$1000. The staff member was able to negotiate and left the country with the cash.
