At least two people were killed and a large number of cattle looted in two different attacks in Pading County of South Sudan’s Bieh State, an official said. John Daniel Bol, the opposition appointed minister of information in Bieh State told Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday that more about 4,000 heads of cattle were also stolen by armed men in the attacks. “On the 10th of February, an armed group of Murle attacked a cattle camp in Pading took 3,500 cattle and killed one person. On 11th of February, another group of armed men attacked Pieri also in Pading and stole 500 cows and killed one person,” he said. Bol said the attackers are suspected to be from neighboring Boma State. However, Radio Tamazuj could not immediately reach Boma State authorities for comment.
