On 14.2.2017. Lanyi. Reports from villages in Equatoria confirmed that a government contingent, which was retreating from Lui, has burned down at least 75 civilians houses in Lanyi, Doro and Buagyi. According to reliable sources in Lanyi, the troops were returning from Lui on February 8th on their way to Jambo but for unknown reason the SPLA tortured civilians and raped as many women as they could capture on their way.At Doro, Lanyi and Buagyi the SPLA burned tukuls before they proceeded to Jambo where they temporarily settled.
