At least 35 people have been confirmed dead and 25 others wounded following an intra-communal clash on Sunday between the displaced community of Rup and Pakam, in Western Lakes State according to government reports. The situation remains volatile as many cows and properties were raided and fears of a revenge attack is imminent. In an interview with Gurtong, the Commissioner of Alor County, Stephen Mathiang Deng Monydit confirmed the number of causalities.
