Description:
On 9.10.2016. Torit. An ambush against a vehicle along the Torit - Lafon road 15km from Torit at around 13:00hrs. Reports suggest the vehicle belonged to the Lafon County Commissioner who suffered injuries to his legs. Another government official, an executive director, was reportedly killed along with 10 others (6 said to be SPLA elements and 4 civilians). 6 others are said to be receiving medical attention in Torit including a small child.
