Description:
On 2.10.2016. Torit. INGO vehicle travelling from Torit to Juba via Liria, was stopped and robbed approx. 15 kms after Torit check point. Twenty to thirty gunmen in uniform were involved. A phone, shoes and a small amount of cash was taken after which the driver and vehicle were taken into the bush where four other vehicles in the same situation were parked. Some of the captured were rope-tied, while the bandits demanded more money and took an additional 100 USD found in one of the captured socks. Sometime later the keys were returned and all were allowed to leave after the majority of the gunmen left. There were no injuries reported.
