A herdsman was killed in Duk Pagak County of South Sudan’s Jonglei State, a local official said. Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Saturday, the county commissioner, James Yien Jal said the body of the herder was dumped on the road linking his county to Ayod area in Fangak State last Thursday. He said neither the assailants nor motive of the killing were unknown. “We are still investigating the incident, but the incident scene tells that the deceased was herding cows,” he said. “The herder had no identity card to reveal his identity. Those in Fangak and Bieh States should report to us in case of any missing person,” he added.
