On 26.11.2016.Loa. Heavy fighting took place early this morning in Loa Boma, Pageri Payam in the proposed Pageri County between SPLA soldiers and gunmen believed to be SPLA-IO soldiers. The fighting started at around 7:00 am lasted till 8:00am, according to the report the government soldiers fell in ambush just less than a kilometer away from Loa Roman Catholic cathedral situated 2km from main Juba-Nimule highway. The soldiers were believed to be on reconnaissance to look out for the suspected SPLA-IO soldiers' hideouts. According to the man from the group of armed men, he said about 100 government soldiers have participated in this morning's attack on their base around Loa, he added one government soldier was killed while four were believed to be seriously injuried and taken to Nimule Hospital for emergency treatment.
