1. On 6.1.2017.Rumbek.Four armed men broke into an INGO compound at around 04:00hrs. Security guards on duty spotted the robbers after which a shot was fired by one of the assailants injuring a security guard. Local police assigned to the compound reacted and engaged in an exchange of fire with the assailants. The robbers eventually left the scene. One perpetrator reportedly sustained injuries. The wounded security guard was admitted to a local hospital and med-evac’d on the 7th of January for further treatment.
