On 14.2.2017. Aweil. A fire gutted the offices of Aweil’s Deputy Governor and his office manager in Aweil town on Monday night, a police commissioner said. Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday, Gen. Mareng Deng Akuei, Acting Commissioner of Police in Aweil, said the fire was ignited by a powerful explosion of the solar system at the offices, adding that the fire destroyed all documents. Mareng further said police authorities will carry out investigations into the matter.
