On 30.9.2016. Juba. A compound intrusion took place in the vicinity of the Regency Hotel, Tongping, at 0300hrs. Five intruders, armed with various weapons entered the compound by scaling the wall. Guards on site activated the alarm and a response team from the security company arrived shortly after as the gang tried to escape. Shots were exchanged which alerted the security team of a local high- ranking member of the SPLA, who then got involved. One of the gang was killed, another arrested and three escaped.
