More than 500 head of cattle were raided by gunmen at Lori Payam in Nyepo County in South Sudan’s Yei River State on Sunday, a local official said.Nyepo County Commissioner Julius Lokonga told Radio Tamazuj that the cattle raiders came from Jonglei State and took about 540 cattle from local residents, saying the attackers headed towards Juba after the incident. “Some cattle keepers from Jonglei came to Lori Payam in Nyepo County and took 540 heads of cattle belonging to the local residents,” said Julius.
