Authorities in Rumbek detained UN international staff

Description: 

On 19.4.2017.Rumbek. Two UN agency international staff members were informed by immigration officials at Rumbek airport that they would not be allowed to travel to Juba for not being in possession of proper travel documents. One of the agency staff was able to get and present his passport with a valid stamped visa. The other agency staff paid US$100 for a visa. Later the same day an INGO international staff member was also denied travel to Juba unless the amount of US$50 was paid. The staff returned to the WFP compound for the night and may travel the following day.
