On 4.9.2016. Kapoeta. A police officer believed to be drunk shot and killed three children and injured others in Kapoeta north at an undetermined time of the day. The incident resulted in relatives of the officer and other residents burning down his house as revenge. Government forces were reportedly deployed to calm down the situation.
